| South Dakota's heritage is rooted in our outdoors. We are one of America's greatest venues for hunting, fishing and other outdoor recreational sports. The SD Outdoor Expo is a statewide event with a hands-on educational focus. Its purpose is to introduce thousands of families and children to outdoor activities. Through interactive exhibits and activities, it teaches an understanding and appreciation for conservation and outdoor recreation and its importance of preserving our outdoor recreation heritage. An Outdoor Expo is an outstanding way to market a positive image of the hunter, the angler and the outdoorsperson by demonstrating how these groups contribute both environmentally and economically to a healthy South Dakota. SD's Outdoor Expo will place a premium on a variety of activities to encourage new outdoor participants and enhance the skills of the more experienced. |
