Play B-I-N-G-O at the Outdoor Expo! Print off the Bingo sheet and bring it along! Get a Bingo and receive a prize! The first 300 kids to return the sheet to the Concessions Office during the SD Outdoor Expo will receive a prize courtesy of Cabela's.

* Learn how to use duck and goose calls! Stop by Dakota Decoy at Area 3 - kids receive a free goose or
duck call. |
* Wetlands Friends Puppet Show - Presented by Girl Scout Troop 65016 of Ft. Pierre/Pierre
- Sylvester Salamnder is having an identity crisis. He thinks he isn't important. His friends, Mike the
Muskrat and the Countess Von Blue Heron do their best to convince Sylvester taht he and his habitat,
the wetland, are very important. This short, fun puppet show is enjoyable for children but the
conservation messages are important for everyone. Puppetry training and supplies for the scouts funded
by the SD Arts Council, 319 Watershed Information and Education Program, and the SD Discovery
Center
* Become a firefighter for the day! Seek out the US Fish and Wildlife Service in South Area 1 to get your
hands on a "wildland" fire hose.
* Make your own wacky animal hat! Go to the west end of the Expo Building and you'll find East Dakota
Water Development District set up with all the supplies necessary to make a duck, frog or beaver hat.
* New to archery or want to learn how to use a bow and arrow? Both Scheels and K&B Archery will be
set-up with different ranges. Youth bows will be available.
* Participate in a mock pheasant hunt! Pheasants Forever will be taking over the Prostrollo's Building and will
have various activities for kids, including a mock pheasant hunt! |
